Looking for spool spring source
The one in the picture is from the single acting spool and is fine. The one I'm replacing shattered over the winter. Came out like a stack of lock washers.- Sydnifcant

That's a good thought, I'll check Dennis Carpenter. It's a compression spring. Seems to be about an 1-1/4 long and 7/8 OD.- Sydnifcant

Looking for spool spring source
Hi all, I have a Dearborn 19-61 industrial loader on my Ford 600. The spring on the double acting spool on the 19-23 control valve broke this winter while I was plowing and I'm looking for a replacement spring. Does anyone have a good source for these? Hi All, My Ford 600 came with a Dearborn loader. But the fluid reservoir frame has been bypassed and a tank mounted on the front. I found some small cracks in the frame. Ford 650 struggling to run
Timing and points were definitely out of whack. My wife stopped and grabbed a feeler gauge set while they were in town this morning. Dialed in the timing, set the points, tuned the carb and she's running like a top. Idles perfectly at 450rpms. Plenty of cosmetics to do and I need to take care...- Sydnifcant

Yay!!! She runs!! I need to do a little gap adjustment (my kit didn't come with a feeler gauge), and carb adjustment, and throttle lever adjustment but she runs so much smoother now! Compost here we come! Thanks for all the tips y'all!- Sydnifcant

Alright. Good news, compression is consistent across all cylinders. So at least I'm not looking at valves or head gaskets at the point. Pulled the plugs and they were pretty black all the way around. Our farm is a small 2.5 acre communal (mostly) vegie farm and we've been moving most things by wheelbarrow. We just started really growing the farm this year. Clarifying a couple of things: With the 12v conversion I also replaced the solenoid, coil (internally resisted) & battery. So all of those should be in good shape. And I do have the shop manual on my phone that I have been using along the way as well.- Sydnifcant
