Rich, You gain a lot of power through your head, Valves, cam, compression and fuel. bore and stroke don't necessarily play a big factor on Gasoline engines.

1550 Oil leaks around Hyd. lever area.

Its not the bleed screw,,,that area is completely dry. What is the 3/8" bolt sticking half way out the side infront of and below the hydraulic levers? I think oil is coming from that spot among others? I need to take some picks sometime.

Have a 1550 and it is really wet around the right hand side under the seat and all the way down to the bottom of the rearend housing. Im thinking ive got hydraulic oil leaking from the tubes where the levers come out?. Tractor has set a year and oil still slowly leaks. Where could the most of...

Why were there not many 80 olivers around and the dealers around where I grew up in Ohio never sold any either. Just 60s and 70s.

Contact Charles City historical society and order an original operators manual. I did for my 4441 and it plowed very nice once I set it up to the book.

Also they give me a number to call a massey dealer in Mississippi. when I called they said they couldn't get oliver filters only Massey. Sounded to me like a lazy counter guy because some friend of mine in Ohio (Who is an AGCO Dealer) told me that any agco dealer is linked in to Oliver inventory

Well Agco finally shut down their last dealer in Louisiana, Plaquemine. What is the deal with these fools? do they not like to sell????? I have to order all my Oliver filters from up north now and pay high shipping. This crap is making no sense. I understand they want to save money by having...

Oliver 550/ White 2-44 Engine Rebuild?

If im tearing apart the top end I go ahead and inspect all crank bearings and Mic the crank. while im that far,,,,I usually just put new bearings in the bottom if the crank is good,,,,its so easy to do it at that point anyway.
