I don't mind getting dirty and I certainly still love the first start up of a fresh overhaul. What it mostly boils down to is all of the old pros that I worked with my entire adult life are retired or have passed away. Case/Ingersoll 644 loader tractor
I'm looking for a little help on a recent adventure. I'm doing a little work on this 644 that was brought in a week ago. It looks like it belongs in a museum as far as condition. Don't forget to drain the oil before you pull the screen. If the screen has little brass colored ribbons on it, it may be time for brake linings- T.E.C.

I closed my place up about 2 years ago and went to work there. I like the place as it's a lot easier on my knees working on the smaller stuff vs heavy ag equipment. 3020 Diesel help please
Got to the bottom of it. Intake valve sticking. Just had the head done with all new valves and seats. Turns out they used oversized stems and bored the guides and got one a little tight. Bad news is the piston didn't like the valve being in it's way. Not a pretty sight. The other bad news is...- T.E.C.

I feel like an idiot even asking on this matter but I'm stumped. I have a 66 3020 diesel that we just overhauled and it runs like crap. Before anybody makes jokes or roles their eyes, we've done these for almost 20 years without a problem until now. I had the pump done at Area Diesel in Illinois...- T.E.C.

4020 diesel belt
Just wondering if anyone knows what the size is for the fan belt on a 4020 diesel. It"s the early one. Kind of having a hard time with what the dealer is charging and the tractor isn"t going to run much. Any help here is greatly appreciated.- T.E.C.

At this point the engine kit of choice is the least of our worries. During dis-assembly, several things pointed towards a previous overhaul. When I removed the crankshaft and bearing inserts from the block, I found a very ugly weld on the #2 main journal. It starts right in the journal and goes...- T.E.C.
