Step to get in pickup truck
Why not make a short ladder that is hinged to the right INSIDE top side of the tailgate so that when you open the tailgate the ladder can be lifted and swung toward the ground. Chevy 216 and 235
Does anyone know if the rocker shaft assembly on a 216 is identical in specs to that of a 235? One of the tappets (rocker arms) on my 235 has an indent in it the size of the valve stem it taps . . . so I can't get an accurate adjustment on that one. OT gas can flakes
I couldn't get your link to work but here's my trusty CLUTHE funnel that I've had for 50 years. It came with 3 or 4 different sized mesh, snap in screens. Sometimes a coarse mesh is in order like for straining out old paint bits of skin. One is super fine for gas. Tt P.S. I might have known...- Tall T

What I do for similar situations is to put a cone shaped auto paint filter into a funnel held in by clothespins or whatever and whatever you fill from that can, run it through that strainer.- Tall T

Something else worth a shot (?) Use a small length of flat bar . . . clean up the slot and drive it into the slot. Then weld both sides of that flat bar. Easier to get a good weld than with a nut. "adjusted all the way out" seems vague. (?) The point plate would be moving closer to the cam; i.e., IN for the points to be opening. 8N fender brackets for mounting lights
If t'were me I wouldn't bend the bracket because that would put the light mounting base off square to the ground. so if you wanted to redirect the light beam by turning the light, your adjustment would deviate from the straight side to side directional adjustment of the beam.
