    for what its worth,i have a 35 D that starts real easy as long as it has lots of gas,i used to think i was flooding it but not so.it needs to be blowing gas out the petcocks before it will start.i leave her choked till it fires and then the next pull and it usaly runs.

    cracked head

    i have an 8n with a hairline crack from one headbolt to another one,it barely weeps.is there a fix that doesnt require removing the head?i am afraid if i take the head off i will find more problems with it and this tractor gets very little use. thanks for any ideas...

    chosing a generator

    i took a 6500 watt onan electric start propane genset and mounted it on an old j.d.lawntractor running gear,added a pull handle on it,it will run most anything and is easy to pull around even on rough ground,also have a 15k.w. diesel for big jobs but the little one gets the most use.hope this...

    infared shop heater

    anyone have any experience with ceiling mount electric heaters?electric cost is not a proplem as i power my shop with a big diesel genset anyway.been using propane but it is pretty costly,figgure i have to run genset anyway so i may as well use the extra power for heat.
