    420 PTO won't engage/is it live PTO?

    Halfway down on the clutch will stop your motion, all the way down will stop the pto and your motion. Most 5 speeds had live pto's from what I understand. Try shifting the pto into gear with the tractor off then start it. If it goes into pto gear you either need to adjust the clutch travel...

    Sure will. Just did it last year. From what I have viewed, read and understand the 420's thru 1010's were basickly the same from the transmission back.

    A friend of mine just had a WD-45 restored at "Toms tractor painting" here in Ohio. The old WD looks nice! I have sheet metal for a JD that needs minor tin work and paint. Only seeing one tractor he's painted, I am curious if anyone has any good or bad results if you have used his services?

    Found this for sale outside of Columbus Ohio today. Strait tractor, needs a few things as expected. Leaks oil in all the expected places and I was told it runs. Appears to have a complete dual remote set up as well. The owner wants 5 grand.
