    Thanks for the help

I posted a question about what to do about the tires on my tractor not being loaded. There were great suggestions. I ended up strapping a barrel on the back and filling it with water. It made a big difference. By the way, I looked closer at the tag on the Satoh. It is a 750D, not a 7500 like I said.

    looking for tire help

Thanks for the replies. Sorry for not saying the brand of the tractor. I didn't want people to laugh. It is a Satoh 7500. I probably will put a 55 gallon. Drum on the back. It seems to be the easiest solution when it is dumping snow right now. I live up on the slopes of Mt. Hood in Oregon.

    looking for tire help

I recently picked up a diesel tractor with a loader to replace my old Moline 445 that I used for snow removal. I went to use it and figured out that the tires aren't filled with cal chloride. Does anyone have thoughts on a quick easy way to fix this/

looking for advise about my cub

I have a 1963 cub low boy with one point and a loader. It has been a great little tractor. Yesterday I was using the one point disc to work up my garden and I noticed a lot of blue smoke under load. Any thoughts as to the best way to deal with this issue?

    Advise splitting a tractor

I posted a message about the clutch on my 445 Moline awhile back. I'm going to split it and replace the clutch. I'm looking for some advise on how to do it safely. I did it some years ago, but then I had an overhead chain fall on a trolly to do it. Now I just have a good concrete slab to do it...

    Thanks

I posted a message yesterday complaining about my old 445. Thanks to all who took the time to reply. I really appreciate the perspectives and insights offered. By the way, I'm gonna split it one more time.

    Old tractor lament

Twenty some years ago, when my brother in Michigan passed away, I had his 445 Moline shipped to Oregon. Fortunately, I haven't kept track of how much money I've spent on this tractor. Repair rear rims, tires, radiator, alternator, starter, rewire it, on and on. I added a loader that I got from...

    I almost bought a tractor

A friend told me about a Satoh s7500 for sale for $1000.00 needing a clutch. I went and looked at it and it is in good shape. The loader wasn't beat up and the engine ran good. The clutch definitely was bad and the hydraulics wouldn't work at all. After looking online and seeing that there...

Is there a way to make an amp gage that the output from the alternator goes to the gage and then to the battery show that the alternator is charging? I am installing a delco one wire alternator. Thanks, Ted

    Thanks!

Awhile back I posted a message asking advise about hauling a cub from Iowa to Michigan. Someone suggested using a 6 x 12 uhaul trailer. I removed the exhaust and the steering wheel and shaft and it fit perfectly. Thanks for the help. Great forum. Ted

    A tractor hauling question

I am looking for some opinions on hauling a 48 Cub that my wife's grandfather bought new and it is now being passed on to us to keep in the family. I live in Oregon and the tractor is in Iowa and it is going to my families place in the thumb of Michigan. I own a good car hauling trailer. My...
