    Keith you are exactly right! That will teach me to proofread before I post. Good catch! The only reason I brought it up is due to having a neighbor with an 801. I can't tell you how many times I would go over to pull his tractor out of his pond when he was bush hogging!

    Hydro fluid checks ok and is clean. Always use a trailer rather than tow. Going to go ahead and install a new battery. I know there are some electrical servos in the system and the hope is maybe the bad battery could be causing them not to function properly.

    At question is a 4410 Compact JD with hydrostatic drive. The battery has been down on this tractor but will readily start and run fine.
