    2040 Rockshaft still a pain

    ive gotten one of valves out fine. The second one does not want to come out. what to do now? Ive tried several pretrant oils and such on it.

    Ive pulled the snap ring from the valves. Now how do I remove #22 (txJim) from the cylinder. do I hammer on the valves or push them out somehow. To replace the O-rings.

    Heres one pic, its kinda in a ruff spot now. but it is turned over. has two bolt holes in it which bolt onto the drawbar frame. I removed the drawbar. hubs are rear from an escort I think, junk. and some junk tires and rims.

    Anyone know the Company or person? They used to make a kit for the weak 6600 combine rear end. Use to advertise in the "Michigan Farmer" in the early 1980s.

    Made this for about $40 bucks to move around tractor. Cheaper if you have some scrap iron. its a large piece of C channel with scrap rear wheel hubs welded to it. Maybe something like this would work. it bolts to the drawbar.

    So I push down on #22 to get to the snap ring #24. in the picture? I don't see the snap ring.

    2040 rockshaft 1000 hrs,.cylinder Oring looks good. (going to replace) And going to replace flat Oring between housing and diff case. linkage looks good. any thoughts? any notable problems with this? let me know your JD experence. mechcanic, tech or previous experence? Thank you
