    My Deer Plot

ud i would brushog it or if you have a riding lawnmower that mulches that would help break it down better. then spray, wait a week and spray again. then wait another week and plow and disc. do you plan on spreading lime and fertilizer? winter rye will grow without it in most cases. here in...

    Anyone here do deer plots?

if you don"t want to spray, use the summer heat thats weeds don"t grow that well in. just disc the weeds under every few weeks. then plant brassica mix mid aug.

    Buck forage oats

bfo works pretty good for me, makes a good deer browse. and will die off after a hard freeze, but i have had deer dig the snow to get at it! i quit using it when the price went way up. how much is it now?

    OT: Zero Turn advise

i have a cub cadet that i use to cut my grass(weeds). works for me, but a commercial one would be way better. mine is 8 yr old and never had any problems, except when my wife hit a large rock and i had to replace the mowing deck!

the deer here in mich love winter rye when small and tender, after that they won't touch it. i wanted to plant rye is to keep the weeds down. as far as oats go, i don't have a drill. i can only broadcast my seeds. can oats be broadcast? i planed on spraying clethodim to kill the rye or oats...
