Kawasaki engine hard to turn over

Thanks for your reply. The engine has 550 hours approximately. I read that the early crankcase design only relied on the oil passage through the crank to lubricate the top bushing and over heating causes damage. There were signs that it ran hot. The only RTV I saw during disassembly was...

Kawasaki engine hard to turn over

I have a Kawasaki FH601V twin that was dumping oil out the top due to a worn crank and journal. I replaced the crank with a good used one, new bushing, rings and seals/gaskets. It ran great for an hour with small oil leak at the top again because I did not get the oil seal installed correctly...

    Nail Hole Filler?

I prefer the color changing spackle because it dries fast. I found with a lot of interior paints that using drywall mud requires it being primed or the sheen will be off when the paint dries. Even with the supposed single coat paints. Good luck. Painting is the worst task in my opinion.

Kawasaki 23 HP 2 CYLINDER ENGINE

I have the 19HP flavor of this engine. I second the post about checking the coils. The manual can be found online and explains how to check the coil resistance with a multimeter so you don't have to guess which one. The gap to the flywheel is very tight and make sure you get it spaced...

    3pt finish mower opinions?

I ran a 60" finish mower with side discharge on a Ford 860. I mow about 2.5 acres. Very few trees so maneuverability was not a big problem. Even with sharp blades and a clean deck it did not pick up very well and left windrows. I converted the mower to rear discharge to help with the latter...

    Hot water heater or?

Spot on. Hot and cold are relative not absolute terms. During the summer, the water entering my water heater is pre-heated by the geothermal so some might say I am heating hot water.

    touchless front end alignment check

It all depends on the dealership. The dealerships here have the same setup and uses it as an upsell mechanism. Many of the subdivisions here have the low curb and the builders just pour the driveway to the curb. Front ends take a beating so I am sure many are out of spec. The Ford dealership...

young kids changing a wheel bearing on a car.

2006-2012 Ford Fusion for one. Just did the front wheel bearing not too long ago. I had to remove the whole knuckle and put it on the press as the puller didn't budge it. Good for them for not shying away from the task.

    Commander 6000 advert

You're asking in the wrong place if you were hoping for a no. The left side rubber doesn't look to bad. Fuel line routing is interesting. Needs a battery so you are adding 10% instantly. If I could use it and have time to tinker with it, I would have a hard time saying no. But I also like...

I wanna know where I can get a battery like this.

I can imagine no air was getting through that filter. I've never lived in an area with that many trees. I guess they don't blow off going down the road.

I wanna know where I can get a battery like this.

Local Toyota dealer is just as bad. I swear they would pick stuff up off the shop floor and put it on the cabin air filter to show me it needed replaced. How else do you explain whole leaves being on it. I had to deny them access to the glove box so they would quit messing around. But they...

    Removing PTO Clutch

Cutoff wheel and air hammer got it done. A puller like the one above removed the drive pulley. Replacement parts are on order. Thanks for the help.

    Removing PTO Clutch

Thanks for the reply. It is on a Exmark Lazer CT. The PTO clutch was going out so I plan to replace. Destroying it is not a concern as I have already damaged the bearing. I had not thought about welding nuts to it to secure the puller to. I will consider that more carefully this weekend...

    Removing PTO Clutch

I have a 19HP Kawasaki with a 1" diameter shaft. I cannot get the PTO clutch off. Of course the videos online show it pulling right off after removing the bolt and retainer. I have soaked it in penetrating oil; applied heat; used an air hammer on the inner bearing sleeve, and wedged a long...
