    The clamp doesn't slide, nor will the bowl twist, even before I get the clamp fully tightened.

    It's not over-filled, but it constantly leaks just enough to get oil all over the cup an a bit up the sides of the canister. The ring clamp is tight and I've made sure there was no debris in the way where the cup seats with the canister. Any ideas on how to stop this from leaking?

    Best way to cut lead

    Maybe a hammer and chisel, wedge, punch, etc. Break off chunks to put in the crucible for melting. I would avoid any kind of sawing, especially high-speed saws, to prevent flakes and dust from getting everywhere.

    In the 1990s the big advertisements were for beef... just pointing out it goes in cycles, waves, not that any one particular product replaces all others, not even for a time, but rather simply a slightly higher market share percentage that changes over time.

    After letting it sit for 4 weeks, I loosened the drain plug but only chocolate milk looking oil came out, so the water isn't separating from the oil even while sitting a long time. I'm just trying to bide my time until I can finally move and get at least a shed over it to keep rain water out...

    Running too lean will also cause backfire at idle and run hot.

    I changed the oil in the rear end/transmission a year and a half ago, filled to proper specs. I don't have any engine oil leaking, I check it frequently and it's always in good shape and at proper level, don't have to add any oil between changes. I haven't checked the first reduction gear...
