    From the rear there is a bolt under the pulley.Tighten the 3/4 in nut until about 1 in deflection on the belt.If belt is tight but still slips you need a new belt even if it still looks good.They are good mowers.

    Plugging puncture in tractor tire

    A deer left his antler in my pasture and the rear tire of my Deere found it.A small horn the size of a pencil did the damage.How large of a puncture in a tubeless tire can be plugged? Do the string type come in more than one size? Is adding tire cement to the plug of any value?Would slime help...

    Question, long stroke low RPM vs high RPM engines

    On JD utility tractors,3 and 4 cylinder engines,with 4.33 stroke,exept one with 5.0 in. stroke,all are rated at 2400 or 2500 rpm.All appear to be good engines and that the 5 in stroke engine works well at 2500 rpm.Could the 3 cylinder engine be engineered with a 5 in stroke and could it hold up...
