Hey, there the toughest baler on the market far as I'm conserned. I'm currently trying to source a drive clutch but it works good just tightened up for now. You gotta keep the drive clutch clean but its tough cause your oiling chains and greasing on the spindle behind it and the cluch is...

    4040 steering

When you take the spool outta the steering brick, and if it doesn't move back and forth easy, be very careful cleaning it. very light Emery cloth or even use old denim. It;s an expensive little part if you hog off to much material!

    4020 remove muffler

I just replaced my muffler with a straight pipe on my 4430. Was siezed solid too, took 15 min with the cutting disk and a good common screw driver. Just take your time try not to cut the cast manifold.

    Thought I was done !

Running like a top boys! I suspected Injectors, Dad did tell me to instruct John Deere to test them outta the box, he has had this problem before. Out of six new reman JD injectors 2 were doing nothing, 2 were pouring and 2 were ok. So at my local dealer they went through 12 new remans before...

    Thought I was done !

Morning all, finished my in frame on the 4430. Through months of set backs with shipping and one little thing after another, I thought I had big John FIXED. Not the case.....I run the tractor on the 70' harrows for two hours yesterday with poor results. Lots of blue smoke, less power as time...

    old hoe drill?

I've thought about it and by the sounds of it an older hoe drill isn't going the be the answer right now either. I'm going to look for diamond harrow and keep using disker until I can afford a no-till unit. Then my one field with rocks I might even broadcast seed? One of my biggest problems is...

    old hoe drill?

I don't have a Morris dealer close by. Ya and seeding with a disker is like nascar....left turns all day long! As far as transport I have two 15' co-ops together and transport is a bit of an animal, I dont put the first disker in full transport just the rear one and I pull packers too then they...

    old hoe drill?

Good info, I wondered about how well they would penetrate minimal tilled ground. I don't sew a lot of acres about a 100 per year oats or barley to switch out aging hay fields and then I always have lots of trash. This seeder is out in your neck of the woods, Esterhazy. Like I said a no-till...

    old hoe drill?

Morning Fella's, Hey can i get some insight. I want to replace my seeder. Would love a no-till drill but I just can't afford it right now so i've decided to keep conventional farming my dirt and I currently am using a co-op disker. I have found a Morris Seed-rite about 5 hrs away and the price...
