Anyone ever see a 3-point lift like this?

Built from scratch; main (linear) members are 2 1/2 and 3 inch angle iron. The 4 inch pipe sticking from the rear was built to slide in-and-out, but it's never been moved since day one.

Anyone ever see a 3-point lift like this?

Not exactly like the one(s) pictured, but this is one I built 30-35 years ago; can't tell from the picture, but it's 'triangular' (when viewed from the front/rear) in design. It's 'stouter' than any tractor I've ever had it on. <a...

    Radiator Shops Are Becoming Extinct

Radiator shop in our town closed at least 10 years ago; there's one about 15 miles away that appears to be doing alright. Carried radiator off an '80 model CJ-5 over there Monday....asked what he thought. He said if'n I can fix it (including boiling it out), it would be about 65 bucks...

    Question about Modern View

I only use Classic, but hopefully those who reply to a post (in modern view) use the 'quote' function.

    sawmill

I agree with Jo Bird; check out the Forestry Forum, though there are 3 or 4 other timber/logging/sawmill forums. Lyle Niemi has a complete story w/pictures on setting up his mill on FF. I've had a pto-powered circular mill for about 30 years and would definitely recommending putting a roof...

cutting a old 100# propane tank

Mark......too many people in the business to consider building/selling them (check out 'barbecue grill' on ebay, highest first). Lots of rednecks around 'here' have got something similar. When cooking for fewer people, I use this... <a...

cutting a old 100# propane tank

I've cut a bunch of them. (disclaimer: not saying this is safe or that you should do it) I just remove the valve, fill them with water and stick a torch to them. They make wonderful fish cookers; pictured are 4 in use last Fall at the same time........(never could find a commercial burner...

    Deere 3010

We bought a new one (3010 tricycle diesel) along with a 122 picker in 1963; it was a great machine...........52 years ago. Used it for 5 years with no trouble and then swapped it and the picker in on a 699.

Chisel plow from the 1950s for a 620 JD

Around 'here', a chisel plow was a primary tillage tool, only came into use in the '60s and were pulled by at least a 90 (pto) h.p. tractor. A 620 would've only pulled about 3 or 4 shanks. I understand that soils and practices are different in other places.

    Battery drills.

Sub-c batteries can be had (e-bay and other places) for less than 2 bucks each; rebuild your own batteries..........
