    overheating and dead cylinder, This could be a long shot, but when the tractor is running look for air bubbles coming into the radiator. A cracked head or bad gasket can pre heat your coolant.     Pivot pin bushing removal

    I did mine by welding a couple quick beads inside the old bushing. The bushing will shrink when it cools down. The beads need to be fast and not weld through the bushing.

    Electrical Question 8n 6 Volt

    The copper strip (in the distributor) I replaced with the copper strip from a old set of points. This may not be the correct OEM way or the wire way, but it worked. In fact I have used it that way for a very long time.
