    i think im going to toss a new belt on for good measure, its a older belt does have some cracks etc. next step is to take it off and find a alternator repair shop

    Hooked battery to both tab and nothing changed, they both had power already

    i can try that for sure, should i do 1 at a time or both at same time. both those lugs are currently matching the Batt output post

    with engine off i can get it to move however it takes a bit of force, and it does whine when running around the belt area

    It fits alt and fan pulley snug its hard to see down on the crank one

    Both lugs have same voltage as the batt stud , when battery is hooked up they both match battery. Tried the D looking port also nothing changed

    so mine has a platic cap where the excite and sense is on the picture so not really sure what to jump it to for that, ill double check the D hole but im pretty sure it has that

    i can double check this, i know the belt fits on the pulley fine and doesnt stop spinning or anything once battery is hooked up. i can also try going a little tighter on the belt to make sure it isnt slipping at all

    ive tried meter right at alternator post, and at battery get same result, the second the battery is connected to the alternator it stops charging almost instantly I have a local place that can test them however i have the feeling they are going to say its fine, being it does put out voltage...

    yes, lights etc are all grounded off the same battery ground also and they all work fine, tractor starts right up when battery is charged

    as stated before, i know its not charging the battery, as the second the battery gets hooked up to the alternator it goes from 14.4 ish V to the 12.5 ish of what battery is on its own. I have to charge the battery every week or 2. Even after mowing my 5 acre field it would not charge it

    no, this one goes direct to + on battery. it has a amp meter on it but looks like its broken
