‘71 Ford 5000 power steering box loose

Holes for the pins were egged out. Drilled and tapped to 1/2” thread, put 1/2 to 3/8 inserts in. Cut heads off 3/8 bolts (upper holes are 3/8) and loctite and threaded in. Back together and working good now. Thanks all.

‘71 Ford 5000 power steering box loose

Wondering if anyone knows if these two holes should have pins or studs in them coming up from the trans housing? My power steering box keeps loosening and sliding back and forth when I turn. Looks like it’s just in the four mounting bolts, wondering if there’s supposed to be 2 pins and mine are...

Running a hydraulic sprayer pump behind a 71 Ford 5000

Ok, going to try it out with water at some point after I modify the booms, modifying them for pumpkins, going to hang 30-40’ just off to one side, at 20” spacing that’s 18-24 tips, current tips are .2 gpm at 60psi so that only comes out to 6 gpm at the max I would think I should be able to...

Running a hydraulic sprayer pump behind a 71 Ford 5000

Bought a sprayer with a hydraulic pump, no hydraulic booms or anything just the pump. Want to run it behind my 1971 ford 5000. Will I have enough hyd flow? Specs for pump say 7 gpm at 115 gpm pump flow, I don’t need that much flow on the sprayer. Tractor data says the 5000 has 6 gpm. Also see...

Question about oil and hydraulic change

Central Wisconsin. I run 10-30w and have good oil pressure. GL-1 in the trans, little slow in the winter until it warms up but isn't bad.

    Throttle linkage

Is that the one that is right next to the water pump directly above the governor? I'm having a hard one telling which one is the right one and which is the one that is farther back near the driver and the actual throttle lever. Thanks
