    Be carefull about the new coil. If its tractor supply (china) chances are its bad. DONT ASSUME the new part is working. Check it out to be sure.

    Dell i have done this when it stops. Good gas. No spark or very little. And guage does wiggle. Replaced points, cond, coil and just now ordered new wiring harness and plug wires from here.     Ok about had it. Runs for about 30 mins and quits. No spark. Bought new coil and nothing changed. Again new points and condensor and gapped right.     Starting problem Ford 8n Tractor

    Compression check is very important. Went thru same thing. Someone suggested pull starting it and it fired right up. Also found that the wire coming from battery to starter (negative) looked good but changed to a #2 on both sides of battery and it came alive.
