    Reverser on a 7700 combine?

    Cousin used his reverser in round up ready beans. When we stopped cultivating we stopped picking up rocks. The combine found them once in a while :)

    Pull the plugs and shoot some wd40 into each cylinder but don't crank it over. Put the plugs back in and see if it will fire burning the wd40. If it fires and runs a couple of seconds your ignition most like ok then you have a fuel and/or compression issue. Does the air intake "suck"'if...

    The "pipes" are coupled into another set of "remotes" that's tractor speak for the female portion of the hydraulic couplers. They should have same o rings as the remotes for the hoses on the blower chute. The pipes most likely are part of your loader hydraulic lines. On a 706 there will also...

    It's probably o ring failure. If you put the tractor somewhere warm and leak slows that will help confirm, start with replacing o rings and tightening fittings

    Some belt power!

    It's always been that way. Dads SC case had more power and was more economical than grandpas IH H. The oil bath hand clutch was very handy for hitching, mowing, etc. And most people around us had farmalls. Also AC WD45s were very technically advanced for the 50s.

    Super C plowing

    Pay a neighbor with a modern tractor to plow it the first year. Best $50 you will spend. Once the ground is mellowed from garden plot it will turn over easy next year. Less expensive than hauling your H 200 miles. The super c can then disk and cultivate without straining either old tractor.

    Cousin had 4 row jd 7000 dry box with no till conversion for years it was a good planter. We used dry fertilizer but it became hard to obtain in our area so he traded up to a six row liquid in 2005. We had little trouble with the dry box system. Main issue was clumps in the fertilizer. The...

    2016 bringing big changes

    We hung it up after 2009 harvest. The numbers just got to big and cousin was getting ready to retire from his day job. He paid off his ground and rents it out. I sold my ground and moved south. I miss the farm but it's not worth a bankruptcy risk.

    SC questions

    Pulley creep in neutral is normal, no load on clutch. If you pull the hand clutch tight and it stops everything is adjusted normal. Advise proper on jet adjust below but also check for dirt in carb and fuel line. An SC will start and run on a trickle of fuel but won't pull a load.
