    Glad to hear you got it. The letter is on top of the frame above the tire on the right side. It is stamped in.

    Explain the letter as the date? Deere used a letter for the date. I have a table with the letters that correspond with a year. I paid $200 for mine years ago. A few years ago they were bringing $1000 Now it seems they are selling in the $500 range. Auctions will bring less. Good luck.

    Stand at the back of the planter. Look on top of the frame, on the right side, right behind the right wheel. There is a letter and numbers stamped into the top of the frame. You will see something like, G 23456 The letter is the date. The numbers are the serial numbers. What is...

    Casting numbers won't mean a thing. Should have bought one with a tag if you wanted a tractor with a year.
