    1956 John Deere 430 Ignitor

I replaced the points and condenser on my 1956 John Deere 430 with a Petronix ignitor. My question is should I change over to a hotter set of plug wires or just use the normal ones. Somewhere I think I read to not use the ones that are on it. Any tips on the ignitor itself would be appreciated...

    1958 John Deere 430 tractor

I'm not complaining. They have it wrong on the Yesterdays tractor website. Its listed as exhaust and carborator gasket set when it should say exhaust and manifold gasket set. That is all. According to pictures its the exhaust and manifold gasket set which is what I purchased. I just hope that's...

    1958 John Deere 430 tractor

Is there a reason the exhaust manifold gasket and the carborator gasket are sold as a set? All I need is the manifold gasket? Could I possibly use high temp form a gasket and make my own? Would it hold up to the heat?

What fluids (90 WT Gear oil Im assuming) and how much? I took the drain plug that I figure to be the plug for the transmissiona and rear end fluids and about a quart of water came out. The drain plug is under the body towards the back closer to the left rear tire. Blew me away when water came...

I looked it up and it doesnt look like that woodruff key holds it on, just keeps it from spinning.
