    The original a-frame looks to have been built to not use the pins you installed at first but for the lift arms to go between the two tabs and use pin to slide thru with a clip--seen this setup on other pieces of equipment.

    gas cans for a n tractor

    They work great if you drill a 3/16 vent hole on top of the gas can at the rear of the handle as high as possible and keep a 1" to 1 1/2" x 1/4" sheetmetal screw for a plug. But mine does not have a valve in the spout but it will still vent it much better.
