i'm still old, sick, 100 miles away from my tractor, and suffering the effects of old age. I'm not an engineer and have never torn down a 70+ year old tractor. What Tony says sounds good to my uneducated mind, but the constant mention of "turning" and/or "spinning" has me a little confused... -

Frustrating fuel issue...

1964 ford 4140 industrial , worth fixing ??? New to tractors
TractorData has a serial number list for many tractors. Who knows how accurate their lists are or whether they refer to calendar or model years. The list shows the beginning serial number for the year. Yours would be a 1958.- TomIn

Some further searching suggests that a 3-point hitch may have been an available option. An old ad shows a 2024 auction listing a 1953 Mustang with a 3 point hitch. The ad has some pretty good pictures that don't look very similar to my Ford 600...- TomIn
