    finally got round to re doing my air filter assembly after removing it all as it was rusted split and full of water when purchased(fitted a k+n type temporarily). according to a few people the mf40 u.k had a dry assembly. mine has an oil bath which is better? if i purchase a new one firstly...

    ohh too confusing my head hurts. lol thought it was going to be a simple answer. unfortunatly i have discovered that u.s models differ quite a bit in spec so i thank everyone for their help but unless anyone has a u.k spec 40 im out of luck

    MF 2200 Power Steering

    power steering is what it says . no power means no steering. if its been neglected there will be play in the wheel.if the wheel turns quite a lot there may be big problems they are seriously heavy when not working. in fact worse than manual

    have you primed the pump with the lever on the lift pump? if the pump can pull and push the fuel through without much effort you may have to look closer at the injector pump. pull off the fuel inlet going to the pump and have a friend pump the lift pump (MANUALLY)if there is pressure on your...

    just had the workshop manual and the pump is in the bellhousing part, and the gearbox is mostly the same as a normal one. the pump is just like a hydraulic pump and spoolvalve in one unit. can you help?

    thanks for the info. it may well be a tacho cant make out the clocks in the photo its a little too far away to identify. what is the sensor wire coming out of the gearbox where the oil returns from the transmision cooler? where does it go to and what is it for(tranny oil pressure temp)? also...
