    New Age Implements

It"s my fault, after all, I introduced my older brother to the world of Farmalls. But how was I to know just finding a wonderful original Super C for him would create such an inventive variant of Farmall Fever? So for your amusement, with tongue planted firmly in cheek is my brother Jim"s idea...

    international 300 Utility

As a 300U owner myself, I see posts about steering all the time. It must have been a problem area, especially for those of us who have loaders. My manual steering has been welded on but it works fine. I am changing over to power steering because of the effort it takes to steer with a loader. I...

i-4 and 300u parts interchangable questions

Dennis, I have both tractors also and have recently had the hubs off. The I-4 has a splined shaft, the 300U has a keyed shaft.

Message for Guy Fey or IH Farmall H Guys!

The gentleman"s name is Guy Fay but you are probably better off posting in the classified section located on the left here under "wanted". The pintle hitches are rare but I am less sure of the steel lug overtires. Good luck.

    300 Utility

CNKS is correct. I also agree that it is probably a later engine. I"m working on my 3rd 300U and 2 of the 3 have a later engine. I suspect that a lot of the Utility tractors got a tremendous amount of use and abuse compared to their Farmall cousins by the nature of them being "utility". Just my $.02

    TD-6

The models built in the 50's tend to fetch more money, mostly because they have larger motors. To my knowledge, unlike some wheel tractors, there is no particular serial number or series of numbers that is more collectible than others (maybe the very first or last produced??) If they are...

    m front cover

Don't forget to pick up the companion backing plate if you get a SM cover. It's a stamped metal plate that is between the cover and the block front, it has the matching holes for the SM cover.

    TD-6 vs. TD-9

Sheldon, there is quite a difference in the TD9's during the years of their production. For example, the original models had various 4 cylinder versions and then moved into various 6-cylinder variants over the years so it kind of depends what year and model you are talking about HP wise. The TD6...

putting a Farmall 300 rear case into a Farmall H

From your name, I'm guessing you are in or from Arizona? If so e-mail me and I can point you to a couple of very reasonable H's for parts here in Arizona. I have no financial interest in either one, it just seems like it might be easier to swap out the rear end unless you can repair your problem...

Bee Gee pump for a TD-6?

Sheldon, you made me curious about the BeeGee pump reference I have seen over at Redpower. I did a quick search in their archives and it does appear to be a hydraulic pump set up. It looks like it might be driven off the rear PTO but I am not sure. As Warder said, many folks drive the pumps off...

Bee Gee pump for a TD-6?

Dave gave you good information, both about visiting redpower.com and Binder Books for a good collection of manuals. I have seen conversations at Redpower about BeeGee pumps and can"t recall if that is an after-market replacement for the diesel injection pump or an add-on hydraulic. I can tell...

    IH TD-5 Dozer

Bill, you might get an answer here yet but if you don't, try the dozer and crawler forum here or go over to the construction forum at redpower.com. It is the motherlode of red dozer info. I have a TD6 but I don't have your date codes for the '5 series.

    Farmall M Engine codes

The numbers & letters can be hard to read but it should be a FBKM with the numbers followed by an X1. Fairly common gas M as Mike said, probably a 1950. Super M"s started a little later in the 50"s. Happy Boxing Day!

TD-9 Control levers and pedals needed

NOW I remember, Crawler Heaven in in New York and General Gear is in Idaho. There is going to be a quiz on this later................. Speaking of tests, a friend of mine said he thought it was interesting that so many elderly people really take up the bible when they get up in years. He was...

TD-9 Control levers and pedals needed

Dan, someone may come along here and bail you out with parts, like Hector Gemme (sorry Hector if I misspelled your name). The mother lode for all things about IH crawlers can be found at the construction equipment forum at Redpower.com. Other sources for your parts are FP Smith (Calif) and...
