    Corn

Yes good weather. And made it through with no early frost so corn should dry down better. 2019 was real fun with wet corn, left it out overwinter

    Corn

I farm a small acreage in Grey county towards Flesherton. Live down by Guelph. That's not a bad yield at all! hope it dries down to 25% or less for you Drying is a killer when it's near 30

    custom combining?

Yeah kind of my thoughts as well, Corn would likely be easier to do with bigger windows etc but need to be able to do beans and wheat for it to work out getting enough acres. I've seen a few guys with 90s combine advertising in other areas but not sure how successful they are. The planter/drill...

    custom combining?

Just curious in your areas if theres much of a market for custom combining? Land tough to come by here and lost the last of my ground I was farming. Had thrown around the idea of doing some smaller scale custom harvesting with a good used combine. Probably won't end up doing it but something to...

    Corn

Nice! I haven't started yet. Still seems pretty wet here in Ontario. I'm only growing corn in the 75-80 day range and still wetter than yours! Have you got all your beans off? Mine ran 45 bushel got them off 15% moisture. Nick121 from agtalk if you recall me.

    Gleaner M2

I bought a 79 M2 corn plus Hydro with a new deutz allis 315 head last fall. I really like it, had a F2 diesel before it but the M2 is quite a bit bigger and the Hydrostat is so much nicer than a variable speed. Mine will be getting some attention in the winter or summer to bring it up to top...

    Massey 750 combine

thanks for the replies everyone. Looks like the Massey is a no go. The cheap prices you guys talk about do not happen here, dealers have M2 combines priced at $8000 plus. Going to keep my eye out for another M or M2/3. I came across a little MF 300 diesel but that would probably be very slow...

    Massey 750 combine

Looked at a 750 massey combine, early model with the red cab, hydrostat. I was hoping it had the 354 but it had the 372 non turbo, Were these engines good enough? How many hp did they put out? It had a 15 foot floating cutter bar head. Needed a few things and not overly amazing condition but...

    Painting questions

Hi, I am painting the hood panels on a 7040 allis, They were very rough and I had to do some patch panels and welding. I completely stripped it down to bare metal and removed all rust. Used agco primer and put 2 coats of Agco Allis chalmers orange.. but my paint gun had issues and I needed one...

    Massey 410 diesel?

looking around for a backup combine to my Gleaner F2 for soybeans.. Came across a massey 410 diesel with 15 foot flex, asking $3000 or I came across a massey 300 diesel with 10 foot flex. Both look in good shape, I ran a 300 last year in my wheat but sold it cause I needed a flex head and...

John deere 2700 plow? and other plows?

how would a ih 710 plow compare to them? There is one close to me with new shares for $1000 autoreset. maybe it would be a good plow? or not enough clearance.

John deere 2700 plow? and other plows?

okay.. I was also thinking of passing on the Massey plow. now its the white and john deere, They are both priced the same. I really like my white 508 but it isnt a high clearance plow. Would the 549 white have as much clearance as the white? And how many horsepower would you need for the john...
