    Hello ray I did that on I used carb cleaner and it didn't make any difference in it running I just wonder if there is another jet on the bottom half of the carb thats plugged up

    What causes this p 218 onan in a jd 318 to surg I had the top half of carb cleaned thorny then I mowed grass when idled it down it started surging again it ran perfect while mowing what did I forget to do any ideas out there

    JD318 clutch shuts off.

    Hi dy we have same trouble u can regap the 3 set screws at .016 to .020 if that don't help u will have to buy a new coil which is the bottom half of clutch cost about 140.00 good luck
