    zinc oil additive

Yes or just use Valvoline VR1 10w-30 racing oil. The VR1 in the gray bottle is regular motor oil not a synthetic. It's still in on road oil but in reduced amounts to protect converters. Regular VR1 Racing Oil •High zinc/phosphorus provides extreme wear protection, including flat tappet...

    D 17 thermostat housing

I was going to mention stainless steel bolts but I didn't want to get all the part time scientists on here writing term papers on galvanic corrosion. So since you mentioned it it's going to be your fault not mine if they do. LOL

    D 17 thermostat housing

If you get them out use Never Seez on the new ones. Put the right size screw driver in the slot and give the screw driver some firm hits with a hammer. Vibration helps free rusted bolts.

    D 17 thermostat housing

There were different ones for the diesel engine but the gas engine used the same housing and cover on all four series. The housing fastens down with two nuts on studs and the cover bolts together. You could probably use regular bolts if your worried about the slotted ones.

D 17 cuts off when worling on bank

Mine does that when it's low on gas. Gas runs to the other side of the tank leaving the outlet side of the gas tank dry.

    Starter MF 65

The 6 volt starter will work fine on 12 volts as long as you don't over do it when cranking it. If the tractor starts right up with a few turns it will be ok. Go to the AGCO Online Parts Books and compare starter numbers for the other models. Parts Books

    Aliis Chalmers B Engine Noise

I hate to hear that kind of noise coming from a engine. I would guess a rod bearing or a main bearing.

    Allis WC

Get # 1 cylinder at TDC on a compression stroke and then look at the rotor. It will be at the # 1 plug wire spot and then go from there clockwise.

    Answer to your question

Well since this original post has no tractor related theme like this section is suppose to have I figured nobody would really care if I didn't really pay attention to the question either and it was late when I posted it and I was drunk.

    Answer to your question

This question was asked. Quick Yes or No question. With gas prices as high as they are would you drive 10 miles out the way (5 miles there and 5 miles back) to save $.10 per gallon???????? No. But it depends on how many miles to the gallon you are getting. The average fill-up is 15...
