    small size alternator

    I got exactly what I hoped for;great input regards staying with gen and/or going to alternator. I have 2 Super A;one orig from my grandpappy and another original from an uncle. Also a Ford 3000 gas;so you folks know what I do with a fair amount of my retired time. Thanks to all.

    SUPER A GOVERNOR

    FULL THROTTLE DOES NOT CHANGE ENGINE SPEED; REMOVED GOVERNOR FOUND ABOUT 1/4" END PLAY IN ROCKSHAFT LEVER, AND THROTTLE PIN DOES NOT FIT INTO HOUSING AS SHOWN IN IH-8 MANUAL, FIG IH390, PG 43. LOOKING FOR INPUT, PARTS SOURCE, ETC. FAMILY TRACTOR BOUGHT NEW BY GRANDAD. THX

    Anybody need any Holley carb parts or a kit?

    FORD 3000 PURCHASED AFTER ABOUT 5 YRS PARKED;CLEANED ALL FILTERS, FUEL PUMP ETC;REBUILT CARB;TACTOR WILL START WITH START FLUID AND THEN RUN GREAT BUT WILL NOT START WITHOUT START FLUID;I DID NOT DO THE CARB PUMP AS NOT SURE HOW TO GET TO IT. HOLLY CARB. THX

    Thanks for your comments, all very helpful. My wife got a kick of my asking for a straw to work on the tractor but it works so well. All set up, adjusted and ready to go now. thanks again

    JUST PURCHASED 1954 SUPER A THAT BELONGED TO MY GRAND-DAD FOR MY SON. NOT RUNNING AND NOW TRYING TO ESTABLISH CORRECT DISTRIBUTOR TIMING; FLYWHEEL HAS 2 WHITE DOTS ABOUT 3" APART. I HAVE MANUALS BUT NO MENTION OF 2 MARKS. THX
