    Got new pistons for a late B and the kit includes a thin scalloped sheet metal ring that goes behind the bottom oil ring according to the picture in the lacking instructions. I dont see it referenced in the manuals. Should it be used or discarded?

    Try external_link.com. They SAY theirs is callobrated correctly and stand by a them 100%. Haven't installed mine as I'm still restoring.

    Could be any of the parts mentioned. New parts can come bad out of the box. If the tractor was running before, I would start working backwards with your coil, then cap, rotor, etc as you go deeper. Leave the old parts on until the problem shows up.
