    Yes, I turned the flywheel, heard the magneto impulse, saw that it sparked, and then looked and saw the piston was at TDC.

    I can see piston at TDC with spark plug removed, and magneto impulsing, and spark plug sparking. I have attempted a little gas in the cylinder, and put the plug back in to try and start, with no luck.

    I have had the plug out, and saw that the spark is happening, when piston is at TDC. The plugs are dry after cranking it. Are you saying to put an oz of gas in cylinder, with a wire lead off the spark wire, inserted into the block?

    I am showing 55 or so psi on each cylinder. New pistons and rings, and had the head machined. New valve springs, magneto has been recently rebuilt. Had bought new wires, just tried it with the factory wires, that were on there when it last ran. Spark is a nice blue on both sides. Tried the...

    Tried switching wires, no change. Running 55-60 psi on each cylinder. New rings, pistons, and had the head re-machined, and installed new valve springs.

    Checked it, it is impulsing at TDC on compression stroke. You mentioned may rotor pointing to number one cylinder. How do I confirm that, appears when I remove the cap the rotor can be installed only one way.

    Fellow Buckeye! Yes, it was horizontal. I will check mage impulse again tomorrow. Was throwing me off, doesn t seem to click as loud, when magneto is off the tractor. I was trying to move it, so it would be close to impulse when I put it back on the horizontal aligned, tractor side...

    Rustred, thanks! I did that, and marked the flywheel. I then reinstalled the magneto, turned the flywheel, and then aligned the magneto, so it pops when it hits the mark on the flywheel. I shot some ether into it, and still cannot get it to fire. Anything else to check?
