    Follow Up.........

A week ago, I posted a thread about an M Farmall I'd bought on an auction that would run fine when pulling, but ran rough under no load or light load conditions. It also smelled of stale gasoline. I put fresh gas in it, boiled the carb and put a kit in it, serviced the air cleaner, etc...

    720D main engine crankshaft alignment

I have been given a procedure that involves slowly and evenly bringing all three main bearing covers up to torque. While using a block of wood and sledge hammer, drive the crank left then right several times. I did this and it seem to work, when completed the crank would roll the counter weight...

Sharing photos of the family in the cold

Just joined the forum a short time back and asked a few questions about a new to me 2590 and thought it would be best to introduce myself and share a couple photos. I have a mouse pushing day job that takes up most of my time and am able to continue running the farm I grew up on. I no-till...

    New TV show Harvest

That right there is another problem with this show. When have you ever seen a storm destroy 10,000 acres of a crop? You might have a strip of that bad hail,or maybe a good sized patch of it,but its rare that you would see 10,000 acres all in one place destroyed by hail everywhere so bad you cant...

    Ouch, China junk...

Dont worry about the USA.We are about finished with the morons running the government now. Before long there will be a new bunch running things and get us back to the top where we should be now.Id say we have a better chance of getting to Mars than China does.

    Sears Professional tools/equipment any better?

I dont care who,and for whatever reason anybody does or doesnt agree with me.There are things that I know about and I just tell it like it is.If you dont agree, thats up to you.Ill be the first to admit that I could be wrong,if there is any doubt. However I know Craftsman tools will be replaced at...

    Sears Professional tools/equipment any better?

That doesnt explain what your problem with getting stuff replaced is.You also dont say what it is that you couldnt get replaced. The hand tools are what they guarantee.Something with an electric motor on it they might not have but a year guarantee on it.You could go to a different store if they...

    Sears Professional tools/equipment any better?

Every thing Ive ever taken to Sears to get replaced that was Craftsman, they always replaced it.That was in different stores and different places.I dont believe that they wouldnt replace something that was Craftsman. Not at any store Ive been to anyway. Also being a mechanic and using tools a...

    1971 Chevy 366

Still no fire? How did you check it? Sounds like your points arent set right yet.I believe a 366 has timing gears instead of a chain,so the chance of it jumping time is small. If Im wrong,Im sure somebody will say so.It should have started when you jumped from the battery to the coil if the points...

    There, I fixed it.

Lanse your welds look alright.I went back and read some of the other post too.You would have been better off to leave that "fish plate" crap off of it.Plus your "fix"as you call it looks kind of weird. Before he comes after it you ought to take that fish plate off, plug the Holes in the square...

1990 GMC S-15 is this stuff factory as in 1990 parts

Its not very likely that stuff would last 258,000 miles.Probably was replaced several times. They might just have put back on what was original, maybe even went to Chevrolet to get the parts.Maybe had Chevy mechanics work on it.It would probably be a miracle if that stuff lasted 100,000 miles...
