    1520 John Deere pto won't engage with engine running.

    I don't know much about Texas dirt brother, but it can't be any tougher than this Skuna bottom gumbo here in north Mississippi. Delta gumbo can't hold a candle to it, and I know them both very well. God made this stuff to hold the world together! But thanks for the offer:)

    Thanks guys, I was 99% sure the pto was supposed to release wit the clutch, but this is the first 1520 I ever used and wanted to be sure.

    This is a new to me tractor, it had been sitting outside with the hood off for about 10 years, maybe more. The clutch was stuck but broke loose when I got it moving and held the clutch petal down and hit the brakes. That has me thinking the pto clutch is still stuck there is nothing between the...

    My 1520 diesel wi pto lever on the left side grinds irregardless if the clutch is depressed or not. I have to kill the engine to get it to engage
