    Another reason I love living where people are pretty honest

    There are no gas stations in town (SD) so the elevator sells gas. You pump your gas, then walk across the street to tell someone in the elevator how many gallons you pumped. There is no monitor in the elevator.

    WD-45 brakes

    My WD-45's left brake connecting rod is loose (hanging down). Do I have to disassemble the axle to re-attach it?

    Bull question

    My father was stomped into a manure pile by a shorthorn bull. His life was saved by a) the fact it was spring and the manure had thawed and b) his brother with a pitch fork to drive off the bull.

    Stupidity in the service.

    In the Marines on Okinawa in '61 we were to be deployed at the ready landing battalion with the 7th fleet and we couldn't get replacement parts for our M-1s. Supply Sargent visited the neighboring Army base and found them melting down new M-1s.
