ford 2310 leaks around the valve cover

Over the winter, I worked on restoring my 1982 Ford 2310. I rebuilt the head, replaced injectors, replace pto shaft seal, replaced the radiator, etc. I have everything done and it is all back together and it runs great. However, I have one remaining problem that I am not sure how to address...

Re: ford 2310 fuel leak from the base of 2 of the new injec

Yes. I put the copper washer in place. I could not find torque specs but the bolts are pretty tight. I also tighten them as equally as I could so they would not seat crooked. But maybe I need to back them out and then try reseating them.

ford 2310 fuel leak from the base of 2 of the new injectors

I recently rebuilt the head and put in new injectors in my Ford 2310 diesel tractor. The head was machined by a local machine shop and new vales were installed. After getting the tractor all back together, it seems I have a fuel leak at the base of 2 of the injectors. I am trying to figure out...

Valve seats in a Ford 2310

Thanks. I found a machine shop that will take a look at it the valve seats. I need to have them look at the front axle support to see if they can put in new bushings also. As aways, I appreciate the input.

Valve seats in a Ford 2310

So my latest problem with rebuilding my 2310 seems to be the valve seats on a couple of the intake valves. Since the tractor has over 6000 hours on it, I figured I would replace the valves while I had the head all apart but 2 of the intake valves don't seem to seat correctly with new new...

how bad a problem is pitting on the piston head?

This is the head side of the 3rd cylinder and it seems to have the same pattern of dents. They are not raised like they were on the piston. I also found what looks like a crack in what I think is a water jacket near the first cylinder. It doesn't feel like a scratch to the touch. Probably...

how bad a problem is pitting on the piston head?

I assume at some point of this project, I will not find any more have to fixes. I am later in my years and this tractor has become a hobby but I would like to enjoy my fixed tractor sometime. :). After cleaning up the block, cyclinder, and piston head, I discovered pitting in the top of the...

As always, you guys have been great. I appreciate your input and will let you know how it goes. Hopefully this is the last thing I notice that needs attention so I can finish putting it all back together.

    Front end axle pin bent?

I am rebuilding a 1982 Ford 2310 tractor. After I got the radiator, water pump, and head off, I was looking at the front axle. It looks like maybe it's bent? I am not sure this is the best picture I could have taken of it but any advice would be appreciated. I am pretty sure this tractor has...

replace leak off fuel return line 82 Ford 2310

I am rebuilding my 82 Ford 2310 and have a couple of problems. First is that I damaged the leak off fuel return line from the top of the injectors and need to replace them. The parts manual says I need either E4NN-9A564-DA (Tube Assy) or D4NN-9A564-GB (Tube Assy Banjo). The first part number...
