    yes I agree as this was my first move but Pertronics only makes it for one unit and i cannot tell what unit i have. I have another VH with electronic and it runs like a charm. So i can find a different half speed distributor in place of this magneto?

    ood morning, Same mag pulled because condesor quit. at one point ran on 3 cylinders. Timed correctly? there is talk of timing light timing yet there is no adjustment at the magneto. This is a morese fairbanks unit.

    Hey "Wore Out". seems that someone has taken this magneto apart as my #1 is below the spot is should be. Please see my comments below on our snapping the magneto and trying to line it up with #1. Thanks

    Intresting point. It appears someone has taken the magneto apart, as my #1 is bottom right, not top right. it ran that way and i didnt change it until this condensor change out. we have tried several different installs using the "X" on the vane at noon and it fired on three cylinders only...

    Magneto. Good point. It runs with a miss on #3. 1&3 fire at the same time. We have placed the hatch on the magneto gear centered on the inspection hole when the flywheel is TDC. Im sure of the VH4D as the place is riveted in. Breaker point cam lobes... got to think on that info, not...
