    Make sure your windrows are even, and feed the hay into the right side of the pickup.

    The variator will only shift speeds while the engine is running. Make sure the center of the middle sheave is free.

    I missed that you had a PTO Horse. The "V" sweep is a rare bird. The shank may be the same as the hiller. Maybe you could find a sweep at a farm store.

    I think what you mean is what Troy-bilt called a "Hiller Furrower". They show up on eBay from time to time.

    It will work like that but, unless the pivot arm is attached to the drawbar, the tip of the cutterbar won't lift first.

    You can buy the balls at a bearing supply house. I think they are 1/4". There are 11.

    I hear "Jari" sections are available and fit David .Bradley. I haven't tried them. I don't think making them would be easy, they are very hard steel.

    Tucker Tire on eBay has the best deal on tires. These trators have shot up in value as gas prices rise and people don't want to haul heavy tractors to shows. A collection take less storage space too.

    The lift connection goes on top of the drwbar. Secure it with a washer and lynch pin.
