    walnut huller

There are different ways to hull them, I don't think that is too much of a problem. But what is an efficient way to crack them and extract the meats? That seems tedious and very slow. I am sure someone knows a good way.

    Schrade Old Timer

You can get new in box old timers and uncle henrys on ebay, unfortunately the prices are being bid up. People crave those solid American products and felt nostalgic about schrade knives real fast. I could not get excited about one of those China made knives.

Is there any other maket / use for this equipment we built?

Yes, but for these 4000 lb stone pallets, we needed shorter arms to handle that kind of weight. The other machine we have is an overhead hoist, but it was way heavy and did not trailer well at all, and pretty dangerous to use too. We carry two pallets pretty often, and move them up the trailer...

We just pallet jack them up to the front to balance the load. The trailer will have electric jacks next week to help balance and support while loading/ unloading.

There is a 12 volt pump with a remote control and battery in a little box mounted on the other side of the trailer. It turned out nicer than I expected, to the point that I wonder if any one else could use one.

I have a little stone business, and we built this little stone hauler for hotshotting building stone around to job sites. http://www.soonerstone.com/hauler/1.jpg http://www.soonerstone.com/hauler/2.jpg http://www.soonerstone.com/hauler/3.jpg It is so much nicer than the machine we built last...

    decent make of push mower

I had a cheapie 3 yr old briggs and stratton mower that started having carb trouble this week. After taking it apart, I am just surprised at how junkie and flimsy these things are these days. I fiddled with it some to no avail. I know that I could fix it with a little more effort (replace the...

New problem with older propane Clark forklift

This forklift has a continental engine. It misses very badly until it has run for about 15 minutes. Then it straightens out and runs about right. I have not dove in yet, hoping someone can steer me first. The spark plugs seem to look ok, timing is right, points are right, oil is clean. I...

Drilled a bunch of holes this week

Don"t know why it would not add up to you. I need a few different size and length holes, as well as several pilot holes. I know that 1 half inch bit won"t make it through all this work. etc etc. What is confusing about that? I have a decent collection of old bits I inherited from my uncle, but...

Drilled a bunch of holes this week

Fabricating something, used several newer Chinese made bits. Also used several 30 or 40 year old American made bits. The American made bits are able to drill iron all day without much dulling. The Chinese made bits can"t go 5/16" without needing to be sharpened. If we can"t find those good...
