    That's one good reason the owner should be there to watch the sale. He/She could have jumped in and told the Auctioneer to keep bidding it up. I would have and then told the guy if he wanted to sell any more of my stuff he better not pull that again. Walt PS you passed up a very good deal.

    Changing Piston rings

    If you don't have any lip at the top of the cylinders then they are most likely in good enough shape to just hone and put in new rings. Wear on cylinders starts at the bottom and pushes out at the top. Any lip that can be felt with the finger nails means a bore job. Walt

    a interesting use for a old mixer

    My grandfather built an adobe house in Carmichael, CA in the 30's he used the grandkids to mix the Adobe cheaper if you have a lot of them. The house is still standing and is worth around $500,000 he built it for $1000. Walt
