    I know that it sat for about a year. I don't think it is a valve because I just set the gap on them after I re-torqued the head bolts. Could be timing I guess. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to the popping. Anyone know the setting for the timing? Thanks.

    The engine on my farmall A when running will give a pop sound out of the exhaust once in a while. Is this normal for the exhaust muffler to do this? Otherwise it is running good. Thanks.

    One more question before I tighten to 80 foot pounds. I purchased a "serviceman's guide for Farmall A" on line. It shows the cylinder head studs tension at 62.5 foot pounds. Now I am not doubting you guys, I am just wondering if I should throw this book away? Is here a better one out there...

    tightened the head down to spec torque of 62.5 foot pounds and still getting a small oil leak at one place around the gasket area. What do you guys think, replace gasket or tighten more? Thanks.

    guys, I have a little leak of oil coming out the head gasket opposite the exhaust manafold. I removed the valve cover to find that I can not access the head bolts without taking off the rocker arm assembly. Is there a good shop manual that will aid me in this adventure? Thanks.
