    Cooling Problem

Have a TEA 20 myself that i bought last winter. Tractor ran good through the cold weather but had a similar issue of running hot (to the point of boiling) during summer. Did the ususal things replaced, Rad cap, thermostat, rad flush and checked for leaks internally but nothing found. Problem...

    Re: Engine Rotation

Engine rotation looking from the front of the tractor should be clockwise direction. Firing order is 1,3,4,2

    tea 20 brakes

Had a similar problem with the brakes on one side of my TEA 20. Yes the brake arms should be able to be pushed down to engage either side brake independantly. The overriding cam at the end of the brake arms near the housing frame of the tractor tend to seize up only allowing upward movement as...

    Carburetor for TEA 20

Hi Stefan1 I recently purchased a new carby on ebay for my 1948 TEA 20 with standard 80mm bore. The description below states it is a 2 1/16 manifold hole distance and the carby is a Zenith 24T-2. Maybe there is a difference between the 24T2 and the 24T-2. Worth a look. BRAND NEW WITHOUT...

    TEA 20 Back to life

Remove the spark plugs and inject a small amount of fuel into each cylinder. Similar to Joans reply you can use ether (Aerostart). Replace plugs and see if it will fire, if so this will eliminate the spark issue, and you can concentrate more on the carb.

    TEA 20 oil filter

Hi Bob, The picture you provided is definately different to the filter housing on my fergie. Have managed to cross reference the FG 2330 with a Wix filter, and found sizes. From here i have gone to the Ryco filters web site (http://www.rycofilters.com.au/) and managed to find three filters that...

    TEA 20 oil filter

Latest update. My wife has found an ID plate under paint on the filter housing. It shows a TECALEMIT oil pump with an internal filter element number of FG 2330. This cross references to Wix filter number 51300. Length measurements are completely different to the sparex numbers used so far. May...

    TEA 20 oil filter

Hi Bob, All appears original with the housing. It is mounted to the engine block by four bolts where the angle type filters from memory are mounted with three bolts and a different pattern. When the can is removed from the pump assembly, the base that the centre bolt screws to to pull...

    TO 35

Hi Mary, I agree with Jerry, either electrical or fuel problem. Had a similar issue with my TEA 20, would run for a while and then stop. Ended up being a fuel issue, blocked strainer on the fuel bowl inside the fuel tank. Took if off cleaned it out haven't had a problem since.

    TEA 20 oil filter

Hi John, Have alraedy tried the new style filters, they are 30mm longer and have a smaller centre hole. Have also purchased a complete oil housing (angle style) to try and adapt to the engine block. Completely different bolt pattern and mounting face.

    TEA 20 oil filter

I have recently purchased a TEA 20 fergie. My biggest issue is tracking down an oil filter for it. The filter housing hangs vertically from the engine block not at an angle like most others. The internal element itself is star shaped with what appears to be a felt material wrapped around a metal...
