    the out put shaft and rear mounting is different between the wc and wd, a wc gear box is the only way to repair it rite.

    wd-45 trany oil pto housing oil

    90-- 140 weight will be good for the gear box's. Hydraulic oil, manual says use 20 weight motor oil in the summer, 10 weight in the winter, none detergent, that is what I use in my 45

    trailer brakes

    does the left brake lockup when empty only or or does it lockup when loaded also. I just set my controler down some when trailer is empty to keep brakes from locking up. Most every trailer I have been around the left front brake will lockup first when empty.

    D-17 Brake Job

    The brake rods are threaded into the square swival on the brake shoe bracket,just turn the rods out. if you have not already done so remove the brake shoe holding pin, then the shoes will come out the top of the houseing.

    Useing ether too seat the beads on a tire is a good way to get killed, lost a couple of friends that did that for the first and last time.

    I worked in a tire shop for several years that sold Michelin tires, the field rep for Michelin flat out stated many times that Michelin did not make a bad tire while he was looking at several that had broken belts.

    The secert to keep the D O T out of your pocket is too not look like you are over loaded, and have more than enough tie downs on the load. have my trailers setup so that when loaded they set level or just a bit up from level. Do not give them a reason to take a second look at you.

    Not entirely OT...truck brakes

    had the same problem with my impala, found that the front brake pads on both wheels had seperated from the backing plate, replaced with new pads, problem solved.
