    WD-9 Thermostat

Yeah, it is just a parade tractor so the engine is never loaded. The warmer thermostat was one thought to resolve the issue (or at least improve it).

    WD-9 Thermostat

Is anyone aware of a warmer thermostat for a WD-9? I have a black oily substance coming from the exhaust and I believe it is because the engine is not running warm enough. The thermostat was replaced when it was restored a few years ago and it never enters the "Run" range in the gauge (see...

    WD-9 Generator Charging

What is the procedure to "click the voltage regulator"? I had my ammeter leads flipped around so now it shows discharge when I pull the ignition switch with the engine off. I believe I need to polarize the generator (it is a rebuilt generator), but I haven't replace the VR.

    WD-9 Generator Charging

No, I have the 3 position switch. I am going to follow the troubleshooting guide that Janicholson provided. Seems pretty thorough & straightforward.

    WD-9 Generator Charging

I was wondering if there is an easy way to tell if my generator is charging on my WD-9? Currently, the headlight and rear light are not working (possible grounding issue) so I am not able to put a load on the electrical system. The batteries measure 12.25 volts across both battery prior to...

    Wd-9

I have a three position light switch so i used the O-D-B light decal. What about the gasoline decal? Does it go on the hood? The needle valve one doesn't get used?

    Wd-9

Okay, i figured the big warning wasn't original. Does the pto one go directly on top of the pto shield and if so , which way does it face? I should have removed the oil filter one as i figured that one out also. How about the LH-D-B and gasoline?

    WD-9 Radiator Mounting Pads

Thanks for all the tips everyone. I had tried to tip the radiator to provide clearance, but have not had success. I was on vacation last week so I have not had a chance to do anything with it yet, but I did order the rubber mounts from Steiner and they have now arrived. I will try them first...

    WD-9 Radiator Mounting Pads

The hoses are not an issue. I am able to get them connected with the ¼” rubber pads. It’s the fan blade to shroud clearance this is the issue. Does anyone else have a WD-9 that they could measure their clearance on both top and bottom? Also, is there a torque spec for the nut? I was not...

    WD-9 Radiator Mounting Pads

I am working on mounting my radiator on my WD-9. I constructed 1.5” OD X 0.25” thick rubber mounting pads to go between the bottom of the radiator and chassis. When I get everything mounted and back together, the radiator appears to be sitting too high based on the alignment of the upper...
