    First time poster,hope this works right. I need to help a friend change a starter on a '87 JD 318 with an 18 hp onan opposed twin. I googled it and it said 3-31/2 hours.     Valve Adjustment On A 18.5 Briggs

    I'm new to this forum so bear with me. If I do something wrong let me know.I have played with some of these ,and in my experience have found the compression release on the cam is bad when this happens.If I can help on the adjustment feel free to e mail me. wdcuda
