    Flat Tire

Built a new cover for my spring box down in the canyon. Can drive to about 50 yards away but then it's through the brush, steep and jump the creek. Packing tools and materials down then back up . Quite a few trips because I never can seem to figure out what all I need before I start. By 8pm was...

Wrong replacement blades for rotary cutter

With 2 blades centrifugal force is balanced. More weight should give a little more inertia when you hit that thick spot.

    Farendlose tedder

The tines on the left are incorrect, installed by previous owner. They are too long, hit the wing when installed to rake. Said they were the closest thing he could find. I don't know how hard he looked.

MF vs New Idea 3 point hay rake

My Ferguson ground speed rake doesn't work real well at PTO speed. Kinda winds a rope. On the A John Deere I ran in a higher gear idled way down and made it work ok but much better on the 165 with ground speed.

Can someone identify what model this is? Got it free, works well but needs tines. Nothing readable on it except what I assume is a serial number.

Finally, something I actually NEED for my tool box.

Doing new sheetrock cured me of throwing tools. Cured me of sheetrock too.

More Bush Hog shear pin issues.

If the bolts sloppy in the hole there's your problem. Grade 2 oughta work with snug fit. Mine uses 1/2 " .

    How Are Your Reflexes

At 65 still pretty decent. But working in the woods they kinda need to be.

What lubricant do you use on linkage

    ImVoltage problem

Ford 3400. Bushhogging at 1800 rpm for 4 hours. Got off back in the yard noticed the generator was very hot. Got the voltmeter, seeing 13.8 at low idle, 15.7-8 occasionally 16 at 1800. After checking connections, resistance in ground cable, making sure generator body is grounded I'm assuming...

    New Holland Knotter Troubleshooting Guide

Ok here's kind of a shot in the dark. The part(don't recall the name of it) that clamps the twine into the twine discs can get a groove worn in it so that no matter how much tension is on it the twine can slip too easily. I made one work by carefully grinding it down. Was hesitant to chime in...

Being stranded and walking home...scooter in the trunk?

Dad would start our '64 Bug with a strap wrapped around the generator pulley.

Looking at a Ford 3910, need some advice please…

If your tires are already breaking loose going downhill hitting the brakes will make it worse! Increasing engine speed may gain a little control. Gently lower loader bucket for a little more friction.

Looking at a Ford 3910, need some advice please…

Don't work on your steeper slopes until you have used your tractor enough that when things start going bad your reaction and response is automatic. It's all a matter of physics, the problem is gaining enough experience to accurately judge the situation. Work into it gradually, don't be in a...
