    Allis-Chalmers Hd7g engine parts

I don't know about rings, but where are you located? I'm in Western KY. I have an HD7G with a fantastic running buda engine but it has brake bands that are shot, and deteriorating...plugging my upper transmission screen. I don't have the shop space or time to pull the side of the machine...

    Allis-Chalmers HD7G Crawler Loses Power/Regains Problem

The bottom right screen is really easy to get to. The top one is difficult because its just barely out of arms reach from the top or the bottom and a lot of hoses had to come off for me to get wrench clearance.

    Allis-Chalmers HD7G Crawler Loses Power/Regains Problem

I've attached 2 pictures and a rough paint diagram. One from above and one below with the skid plate and floor panel removed. The blue circle is the pain in the butt filter. There is a plate with 2-3 hoses coming off of it underneath the cannister filter that is by your left foot under the...

    MF-50 compatible bolt on engines

Thanks man. I'm gonna keep looking! Be careful with the clutch when you put the front and rear of the tractor back together.... buy the little plastic clutch tool for the double clutch that has the splines. The first time I put the tractor back together I used a graduated wooden dowel...

    MF-50 compatible bolt on engines

I am still looking for a MF50 parts tractor. I understand that there were 4 or 5 different block configurations, theres got to be a cross reference book, or at least an illustration of the differences between the engines/blocks. I'll pay for it to give me answers, and this is a very common...

    MF-50 compatible bolt on engines

Already been down that road brother with dissapointing effects. I've found a $500 hobart welder with a perkins 3.152 that runs. Ive found the flywheel adapter plate, now i need to figure out if i need a plate for the front of the oil pan where the wheels bolt on or if this is not gonna work.

    MF-50 compatible bolt on engines

The cracks are in the webbing between cylinders at the bottom where the wet sleeves seal the coolant out of the oil pan. I think i got the crack more or less stopped but I don't ever want to break the tractor in two again, so i figured I should just find another block, i like diesel way better...

    MF-50 compatible bolt on engines

I've got a MF-50 with the continental z134, cracked webbing between the sleeves. Worked on it for months trying the different epoxies, solder, and the putting allthread through the block to close the crack. I have decided to get a used continental block or a diesel. I know it came with a...

    Allis-Chalmers HD7G Crawler Loses Power/Regains Problem

Thanks for all your help and comments anyway, many minds are better than one, hoping to come across someone who has dealt with this problem before. All the experienced mechanics where I live either worked on stuff before the 70's or after the 1980's. I took Jims advice as soon as he posted...

    Allis-Chalmers HD7G Crawler Loses Power/Regains Problem

Been in contact with that guy already, if his handle is Dmiller. He certainly helped me find some screens and such that the book didn't even mention. The machine is definitely improved since working with him, but still cant use it for more than 20 minutes without fear of running the clutches...

    Allis-Chalmers HD7G Crawler Loses Power/Regains Problem

I put AW32 back in it, same as iso32, or equiv of 10w like the book said. I've been advised by some others, that in these particular models, if you go up to 20w, the transmissions can start to self engage for some reason. After cleaning both screens, (one was clean, with 1/4" mesh) the other...

    Allis-Chalmers HD7G Crawler Loses Power/Regains Problem

I put ISO 32 in it, the book calls for 10W....all the charts say it is equivalent but with these old machines, it may just not like the other oil, I can pretty much deal with anything as long as its not the torque converter. It operated fine most of the summer after the oil change, but i...
