3010 backfires when shut off
Thank you for the suggestions. The tractor does not have a solenoid. Even if you let it idle, it will still backfire. The muffler was blown out inside & cracked on the bottom. I thought this might be the problem, so I replaced it. It made no difference. I have done some looking into this problem...- westks

3010 backfires when shut off
3010 gas runs good but about 3-5 seconds after it is shut off it will backfire though the exhaust, pop the rain cap open & shoot a flame out. Carburetor has been gone though. It has no exhaust leaks & don't find any intake leaks. Any help is greatly appreciated.- westks
