    Hot today, as usual.

    Changed out an axle bearing on my disc last week. As usual had a minor problem get the bearing trunnion off the frame. Of course it was the inside bearing, so I had to take all the blades off. By the time I got it back together was soaking wet. Did it in the shade of the shop with a 48 inch...

    Ugh. Saw where a 77? Year old on a jd 4430 and round baler was ran over by an 18 wheeler in South Alabama last week or so. Think I read that he did not make it.

    I would think if all those issues were simple that dealer would fix. Is dealer offering any warranty or as is where is? Run forest, run!!!!

    You may can but it could be a load. A regular disc and an offset are 2 different animals. Will depend on depth, blades, soil and soil conditions.

    Shuttle Shift Tractors ????

    Lot of new tractors have hydro shuttle. Neighbor has a kabota 70 hp. His shuttle is hydro operated. Another neighbor has a 60 hp jd. Operates the same. My cx90 is mechanical. Have to use clutch.

    Best Budget Friendly Digital Torque Wrench

    If you want cheap here it is. Amazon is your friend. I bought a snap on years ago. NOT cheap. Have used it a few times. When I need it, I know it will work. The old saying you want cheap or good comes to mind.

    What was your longest tractor ride?

    As far as driving distance in a day — figure 4 mph for 10 to 12 hours a day for several days in spring, summer and fall. Miles would count up.

    Lucky me. If my glasses fall off, I know it instantly. Last time I was doing something and got them knocked off I was able to call the wife to come to shop and find my glasses. I did not move until she got there. Was able to call her because I remembered I had called her last on phone...

    What was your longest tractor ride?

    20 miles. Had to drive thru local town to get to farthest field. That was 30 years ago. Glad I don’t have to with today’s traffic.
