    With a long screw driver i can move 4th gear back and forth on the pinion shaft splines..as if there is a spacer or snap ring missing..to much play between slider ring and gear...in my opinion...

    it jumps out of 4th gear going down hill...my question is...can i disassembly gears through the top cover and bell housing area. or do i have to remove the rear end top cover. thanks

    oil pressure 1650 gas

    My Oliver 1800 diesel 283 has a oil light and gauge.. the light goes out then 6 second later the gauge needle starts to move.. i do not think they have a ant-drain back check valve in the system.. my 2 cents

    TRANS OIL PSI

    OK...I put a gauge in the sending units place..and checked the psi...the spec is 8lbs-14lbs @ 2400 at operating temp...... we have 10 psi.= GOOD...BUT....at idle the trans light comes on...and we have 0 oil psi reading...HELP...Thanks

    A BIG THANK YOU....Yes my hyd dip stick is up by the rock shaft ...and the 2 Allen plugs down on the right to check trans/diff oil level...it had universal tractor oil in it..i was having problem with the trans oil light coming on at idle...i ordered a oil psi gauge and checked the psi should be...

    I just picked up a White 2-88 tractor and bought a operator manual and I&T service manual....i want to change the trans oil do to the trans oil light coming on at idle ... after mowing....the operator manual said to use universal tractor oil.....the service manual said to use SAE 90 GL5 :roll:
